McLaren M8A ~ 1968 ~ GMP
Throughout the mid 60s all the way to the early 70s, the McLaren team was the main force of the Can-Am series. The team won a total of 5 championship titles and, with the M8A, they clinched both the drivers and teams titles.
Denny Hulme won the championship with his teammate and McLaren founder, Bruce McLaren, as championship runner-up.
GMP's model is quite old (over elevn 11 years old actually) and so you shouldn't expect for too much even if, usually, the asking price for this model is quite high. Only the rear hood lifts. Underneath it you'll find the center-piece of this model, che Chevy V8 engine. The car's interior is poor but overall both markings and paint look neat. Rims with Goodyear fat tires on look good as well.
Overall, a good model for 2001 and a poor one for today's standards. If you like Can-Ams and you can get it for a fair price then you should go for it.
